HAMLET — Richmond Community College continues to expand its co-admission agreements with four-year colleges and universities. College leaders recently traveled to Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs to sign off on “Bulldog Bound,” a direct-entry admission program.
HAMLET — Richmond Early College High School (REACH) student Lauren Humann of Rockingham is about to wrap up her time at Richmond Community College with an associate degree and will be heading to East Carolina University this fall.

HAMLET – As long as he can remember, 19-year-old Brandon Swallow has dreamed of building machines that would make life easier for people. In fact, at age 8, he used his K’NEX Classic Construction building set to build a robotic arm to pick up toys and a crossbow to defend his fort. By age 9, he was building motorized cars and windmills.
HAMLET – Stacey Drake was getting help with her resume at the Career & Transfer Center on the Hamlet Campus of Richmond Community College when she learned about a pre-employment class that was preparing people to work for a local company. Having recently moved to the area from Virginia and working as a receptionist at a veterinarian’s office, Drake decided to check out the class and see what doors it may open for her.
HAMLET – Richmond Community College has offered a degree in Human Services Technology program since 1986, providing students with the skills needed to work in mental health, education, family services, social services, rehabilitation, corrections and community outreach. Three of RCC’s graduates had a strong desire to help others and found their calling through the Human Services Technology program.
