The Richmond County Daily Journal is seeking a passionate sports and general assignment reporter for its growing five-day daily.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess innovative writing and multi-media reporting skills and thrives on the challenge of covering one of North Carolina’s most successful high school sports programs.
The candidate should be able to build relationships with coaches and other sources and have skills to post to our social media accounts and websites. Social media, digital, photography/videography skills are a plus.
Experience at a newspaper is not required, but a relevant college degree, solid writing ability and a desire to keep our readers informed are essential. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, mobility and a reliable automobile. The Richmond Daily Journal offers a comprehensive benefits package including full medical including health, dental and vision as well as paid time off.
