• At 5:35 p.m., Deputy Karl-Heinz Dietrich responded to the Dollar General on Airport Road in Hamlet following a report of an individual possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. According to the crime report, a yellow baggie containing a crystal-like substance and a glass smoking pipe were found. The suspect, identified as Christopher Shaun Boan, 37, was arrested, according to the report, closing the case.

• James Robert Easterling, 43, allegedly entered and remained at J D Mart on Fayetteville Road in Rockingham after previously being told not to enter or remain on the property. Easterling was charged with one count of misdemeanor second-degree trespassing and booked into the Richmond County Jail under a $1,000 bond.

Aug. 19

• At 3:32 a.m., Lt. Dustin E. Campbell responded to U.S. 74 in Rockingham following a report of a motor vehicle collision involving an alleged impaired driver who reportedly left the scene after property damage occurred. According to the report, two vehicles, a Ford Explorer and a Toyota Camry, sustained an estimated $8,000 in combined damage. The suspect, identified as Felicia Alexandria Dockery, 39, was arrested, according to the report, closing the case. Dockery was additionally charged with fail move over injury personal property, failure to heed light or siren and resisting a public officer.

• Nakeem Ladarius McKenzie, 28, allegedly took two 3 Musketeers candy bars and a fountain drink, with a total value of $8.27, from the Speedway Store in Rockingham. McKenzie was charged with misdemeanor larceny and booked into the Richmond County Jail under a $300 secured bond.
