At 10:27 a.m., Deputy Austin M. Hart responded to Duncan’s Food Store on Rosalyn Road in Rockingham following a report of an individual stealing a pack of Newport cigarettes valued at $11. The case was closed by means other than arrest.
At 4:13 p.m., Deputy Clyde W. Smith Jr. responded to the Chek Inn on West Broad Avenue in reference to an individual driving while impaired. The suspect, identified as David Savannah, 44, was arrested, closing the case.
March 8
At 11:13 a.m., Deputy Jerry L. Bell Jr. responded to Airport Road in reference to a report of a felon in possession of a weapon of mass destruction with destroyed serial numbers. The suspect, identified as Robert Gray Gainey, 48, was arrested, closing the case.
At 10:35 p.m., Deputy Dalton B. Radford responded to Lake View Trail following a report of misdemeanor larceny. The case was closed by means other than arrest.
