At 2:04 p.m., deputies responded to Bay Street following a report of a suspect fleeing to elude arrest in a motor vehicle and resisting a public officer. The suspect, identified as Arawn Thompson, 27, was arrested, and the case was closed.

At 10:31 p.m., deputies responded to Green Lake Road in Ellerbe to serve a warrant. The suspect resisted a public officer and assaulted a government official. Wesley Bryan Parsons, 34, was arrested, and the case was closed.

Jan. 5

At 10:28 a.m., officials responded to Maple Street following a report of a stolen mini bike valued at $600. The case was closed by means other than arrest.

At 12:10 p.m., officials responded to Sandhill Road following a report of speeding to elude arrest. The suspect was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and operating a vehicle with no insurance. Leon Malik Ziegler was arrested, and the case was closed. Ziegler was driving with a revoked license and suspended tags, possessed drug paraphernalia, failed to heed a light or siren, and resisted a public officer.

At 1:50 p.m., deputies responded to Calvert Street following a report of misdemeanor larceny. A suspect allegedly stole a license plate tag from a 2004 Toyota Camry. The case remains active.

At 3:50 p.m., officials responded to Horseshoe Road following a report of second-degree trespassing. The case was closed by means other than arrest.
