ROCKINGHAM — American Tae Kwon Do, of Rockingham, held a ceremony on the Place of Grace campus Tuesday evening to celebrate its performance at the Universal Martial Arts Championships in Lancaster, South Carolina this past weekend.

Five members place in the top five of their respective categories.

Julian Cline finished first in kata, Anna Liles came in second in sparring, Connor Ellis was runner-up in kata, Kim Hotter grabbed a third-place finish in sparring and Owen Ellis ended the day fourth in the sparring competition.

Team sponsors were Alfredson’s Import Repair, Basic Finance, Inc. and Electronics Service Company.
