Robert David Jr., above, set a state record in the 275-pound 16- to 17-year old class with a squat of 420 pounds. He also recorded a deadlift of 410 pounds and a bench of 300 pounds. Davon Stroman competed in the 308-pound and over 16- to 17-year old class. Stroman set state records in the squat (530 pounds) and deadlift (550 pounds). In addition, he lifted 240 pounds on the bench for a combined total of 1,320 pounds, also a state mark. It was the first full power lifting event for both.
