ROCKINGHAM — Scotland kept up with Richmond Senior until halftime on Monday, but afterwards … not so much. The Raiders put the hurt on the Scots with a sharp 3-0 win.
Richmond Senior has also been performing well recently as they’ve won three of their last four matchups. That run has powered them to a 3-3 record this season. The victories were made possible by their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. As for Scotland, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richmond Senior will venture away from home to square off against Terry Sanford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
After failing to score in their last contest, Terry Sanford made sure to put some goals up on the board against Jack Britt on Monday. The Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Buccaneers, sneaking past 4-3. Considering Terry Sanford’s offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
As for Scotland, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Seventy-First at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
