RICHMOND COUNTY — The Richmond Senior Raiders will take on The Lumberton Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Richmond Senior is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Richmond Senior headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for two straight, but Cape Fear let them put that streak behind them. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Colts on Monday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-1.
Meanwhile, Lumberton’s season-opener on Wednesday wasn’t quite what the team was looking for considering the end result. The Pirates and West Bladen finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.
Richmond Senior’s first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. With that draw, Lumberton’s record moves to 0-0-1.
