ROCKINGHAM — The Southeastern Conference recently announced the all-conference awards from the 2015-16 boys and girls basketball season.

Hoke, Pincrest and Richmond made up 69 percent of the boys all-conference team, as each school had three players selected. Lumberton had four players selected to lead the girls.

Richmond Senior’s Jaylan Terry was named boys Conference Player of the Year and was joined on the all-conference team by teammates Lavell Ellerbe and Leon Ziegler.

Raiders head coach David Laton shared the Coach of the Year honor with Hoke’s Quame Patterson.

On the girls side, Zelda McLaughlin was the lone Lady Raider to be named to the all-conference squad.

Lumberton’s London Thompson and Scotland’s ShanQuaylia Stanton earned co-Player of the Year honors, while Scotland’s Janie Hodges took home Coach of the Year.
