RAEFORD – The Hoke County Varsity volleyball team earned a 3-1 home conference win over Richmond Senior on Tuesday, September 16.
Set scores were 25-17, 26-24, 16-25, and 25-23. With the result, Richmond Senior moves to 8-4 overall and 2-1 in the mid-south 7A/8A. The Raiders hold a 3-2 record at home and a 5-2 record on the road. Richmond has collected 25 set wins and 19 set losses this season. The Raiders entered the match on a three-game winning streak.
Hoke County improves to 12-2 overall and 3-0 in the conference. The Bucks are 7-1 at home and 5-1 on the road. They have totaled 38 set wins against 10 losses this year.
In statewide standings, the Raiders are ranked at No. 142 overall and No. 22 in Class, while Hoke County is ranked No. 147 overall and No. 14 in Class.
Season scoring averages show Richmond Senior with 20.3 points in the first set, 19.8 in the second, 22.5 in the third, 23.8 in the fourth, and 15.0 in the fifth, averaging 2.1 set wins per match. Hoke County averages 23. 9 points in the first set, 24.3 in the second, 23.4 in the third, 23.0 in the fourth, and 17.0 in the fifth, with 2.7 set wins per match.
