LETTER: A president doesn’t make a Christian nation

To the editor:

Do you believe every word in the Bible? Do you live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of Yah (our heavenly Father)? He says “do not think that I came to destroy the Torah (the Law) or the Prophets (Old Testament).” Do you believe Him?

He says “not everyone who says to me, ‘Master, Master’ shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire (will) of my Father in the heavens.” Are you doing the will of the Father?

And He says “then I shall declare unto them, I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness (iniquity).” Are you living by His every word? Are you lawful or lawless? He also says “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me” and “I have not come of Myself, but He sent Me” and “I and My Father are one.” Do you believe Him?

It has been said that we need a Christian president, but a Christian president will be of no use if the people of this country do not repent. Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, but become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For this is the love for Elohim (the Almighty), that we keep (guard) His commands, and His commands are not heavy.
