To the editor:

This letter is in reference to the couple of letters written by Robert Lee about me — well, this week, anyway. Amazingly they were both as dumb as a box of rocks, and then some! But that is what we have all come to expect from him. They made me smile to think that Robby can’t stop thinkin’ ‘bout me… And he says that he’s “under my skin.”

Why are you calling me a Patsy? Definition: A person who is easily taken advantage of, especially by being cheated or blamed for something? Wow, Robby, you really are grasping at straws. Your poor detective work failed once again. You were doing better looking me up on Facebook. You must be dealing with a Moeberry cop! Not Mayberry, ‘cause Barney and Andy were smarter than that! Maybe it’s just a Sun Belt thing…you know what I mean, Rob Roy? Maybe you can find a friend with a Black Jack to help you.

Robby, for someone who contributes to the Richmond County Daily Journal, you really do not have a clue as to how the letters get their headlines, do you? Well, allow me to fill you in. First the letter is sent in by me or you, then the editor edits and gives it a catchy little title. So little Robby, I in fact have no control over that! The editor decides the title… as harsh as it may be. Get a clue!

You mentioned two men you would like for me to talk to… I don’t believe that either of them would appreciate you calling them “boys” even if you put “good ole” in front of it! You see, Robert, to the black male, “boy” is a white racist word! By the way, every prejudiced person I have ever known can only pick out one or two people of another race to call friend… Ring any bells?

Your letters are pathetic, pitiful and most of all just plain ignorant. I’ve had my say and you’re still trying to one-up me. Good thing I don’t scare easily and I have never ever seen a ‘can’ of worms opened by a weasle or a bully.

Why do you point out the race of your friends? Doing so reeks of prejudice! I just call my friends friend no matter the race. You always say that you have black friends and white friends so there, you are making the difference in calling your friends black, white and other.

My friends are just my friends.

I do, however, love your most recent thoughts on what a “good ole boy” might be: Noun — Someone who burns crosses in black people’s yards. That is the politically correct definition of the Southern dictionary.

Are you trying to make me famous Robby? I mean, two letters in as many days! Heartwarming the fact that I am surely under your skin.

You are just a bully who cannot stand the fact that someone is standing up for what they believe… even if it defies what you believe — in other words, if they are not like you. You cannot shut me up and you cannot shut me down. You can only control you, Robert. Big, tough Marine till I die kind of guy you are! The Marines don’t make bullies like you. I love the Marines and all service folk. But you don’t make them proud.

Now there, it did not take me two days or two papers to say that. Get smart, Robby. You are a Marine, but you always overdo it. Your point is lost when you start writing 2,000 word letters to the editor. That is the very reason that the South lost that battle with the Union. They just did not know when to quit!
