PHILADELPHIA — By the numbers from the Democratic National Convention:
• U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, D-NJ, told the Pennsylvania Delegation Monday that 22 of his Republican colleagues in the Senate chose not to attend last week’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
• 114 witnesses appeared before the Democratic Platform Drafting Committee four weeks ago in St. Louis. The final draft includes a wide range of policy positions that reflect the depth and breadth of the Democratic Party.
• 6 elevators to transport hundreds of people staying at the Doubletree Center City Hotel for the Democratic National Convention. All rides are crowded, with many stops, requiring early departures and returns.
