LAURINBURG — Business owner L. Diane Wolfe will present a free seminar on websites and blogs from 9 a.m. until noon Wednesday at Richmond Community College’s Honeycutt Center located at 600 McLean St.

“Websites and Blogs for Small Businesses” is designed for those preparing to take a business online. Businesses with established websites will learn how to expand, improve and add depth to their site.

Wolfe walks attendees through Web hosting, layout, metadata and blog platforms during the three-hour seminar.

“Setting up a website can be daunting,” Wolfe said. “Once you understand the process, you can create a dynamic site that attracts customers and keeps them coming back.”

Known as “Spunk On A Stick,” Wolfe is a member of the National Speakers Association, an author and a business owner. She’s conducted seminars publishing, promoting, and leadership for more than five years. Her book titles include “How to Publish and Promote Your Book Now,” “Overcoming Obstacles With Spunk,” and a young adult series, “The Circle of Friends.”

Attendees will learn about templates and composing enticing Web copy. They will discover how to use search engines and content discovery optimization to their advantage and be able to connect with potential customers through blogging and other social networks. Armed with a list of beneficial websites and books to assist them, they will leave with a clearer picture of designing and running a successful site.
