ROCKINGHAM — Richmond County will be celebrating Easter all weekend long.
The following is a (likely incomplete) list of Easter events taking place throughout the county.
Saturday
• First Baptist Church of Hamlet will hold a Children’s Easter Celebration from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 208 Charlotte St. There will be an egg hunt, games, cupcakes, bounce house and more.
• Rockingham Wesleyan Church will hold an Easter Egg Hunt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 618 N Lee St.
• Walmart will host “Hopkins” the Easter Bunny from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
• The Rockingham Moose Lodge will hold an Easter egg hunt from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. There will be free food, games and a dance competition. Music will be played by Peppermint Patty. The Easter bunny will make an appearance and there will be money eggs for first, second and third place.
• The Place of Grace Campus will hold their Easter Celebration from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 252 School St. in Rockingham. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt, obstacle course, cake walk, prizes and other activities for children.
• Positive Vibes Only will host their first annual Easter egg hunt at 3 p.m. at East Rockingham Park. The day will be filled with games and prizes, and there will be Easter egg hunts for all ages as well as golden egg prizes. • The Rockingham Moose Lodge #1838 will hold their annual Children’s Easter Egg Hunt from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the lodge at 128 Crow Run, Rockingham. Food and music will be provided and all Richmond County children 12 and under are invited. For more information, call 910-895-5524.
• Timbers Crossing Free Will Baptist will be having an Easter Celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 277 Lock Haven Road, Rockingham. Egg hunt, hot dogs, all is welcome. For more information contact Preacher Charlie Tyler 910.582.4517.
• Beverly Hills Baptist Church will have an Easter “Eggsstravagnaza” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 110 Kemberly Street, Rockingham. Children of all ages are welcome. There will be pizza for lunch. To sign up, call 910-895-9862. If there is no answer, leave a message.
• Outreach for Jesus in Hamlet will hold their “This Blood” service at 7 p.m. at 440 Battley Dairy Rd.
Sunday
• The Place of Grace Campus will hold a sunrise service from 6:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. and a morning service from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 252 School St. in Rockingham.
• Walmart will host “Hopkins” the Easter Bunny from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
• The American Legion Post 147 will host an Easter egg hunt at 3 p.m. at the post home at Ledbetter Lake. The event is free and there will be ice cream, soft drinks and prize eggs.
• Outreach for Jesus in Hamlet will hold their “This Blood” service at 7 p.m. at 440 Battley Dairy Rd.
Monday
• The Dobbins Heights Community Center will hold a program for children at 10 a.m. and an Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. located at 222 Earle Franklin Dr. in Dobbins Heights.
