The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Rockingham man with possession of drugs and a weapon, as well as child abuse. Deputies received a call about a man in the parking lot of a store on U.S. 220 who appeared to have a handgun and a large bottle of pills, reports show. When they arrived, officers found Keith Ronald Paglia, 43, of Jessica Avenue in the vehicle, along with a gun and 36 Oxycodone pills, arrest warrants show. Officers also reported finding digital scales and a child younger than 16 in the vehicle with Paglia. The arrest occurred July 18.
