Hamlet native and L.A. Chargers defensive end Melvin Ingram again will offer free turkeys to families in need this Thanksgiving.
Two hundred fifty turkeys will be available starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, at Hamlet Memorial Park, 716 Spring St., Hamlet. They will be distributed first come, first served, along with free hot chocolate and doughnuts for those waiting.
Ingram will not attend the third annual turkey giveaway, sponsored by his Mission Possible Foundation. Five teammates also contributed to the event.
