HAMLET — Dreaming of working from home? Looking for a way to earn additional income? The Small Business Center of Richmond Community College will be offering a free seminar, “How to Sell on Amazon for Business Owners,” on Wednesday, March 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at Scotland County Economic Development.

Marketing consultant Martin Brossman will be presenting the basics of how to start selling on Amazon. This seminar will teach participants what they need to get started, how much it will cost, how to choose and account type, and what they shouldn’t sell. Participants will also learn how to run an online business without filling their houses with stuff, or even going to the post office.

“Amazon provides a very strong potential for an individual to reach an extremely large audience from a home-based business, and there will be several ways of making money discussed in this presentation,” Brossman said.

This seminar is part of the Cyber Wednesdays Certificate Series, which offers an Online Training Certificate of completion for those who attend a series of three Cyber Wednesdays seminars.

The free seminar is free and open to the public. To register, go online at tiny.cc/sbcseminars, email at [email protected] or call Deborah Hardison, Small Business Center director, at 910-410-1687. Pre-registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Pre-registration is accepted no later than Tuesday, March 21, by 5 p.m.

The Scotland County Economic Development is locate at 16800 Hwy. 401 N, Laurinburg.
