HAMLET — A man died Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle.
Troopers say Donald Polston was hit around 6:32 p.m. while on Airport, just south of Battley Dairy Road, by a vehicle traveling south toward N.C. 177.
Polston died at the scene.
Troopers are not yet releasing the name of the driver, type of vehicle or any other details as the incident is still under investigation.
