HAMLET — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the individual or individuals responsible for an overnight vandalism spree.

Investigators say the windows of at least 14 vehicles were smashed Monday night throughout the city of Hamlet, with victims on Fieldcrest Lane, Juanita Avenue, Oak Avenue, Fourth Street, Charlotte Street, McDonald Avenue and Rollins Avenue.

The vandalism was caused by throwing rocks and bottles through the windows, and investigators say it appears to have happened between 10:30 p.m. and 2 a.m.

At this point, police have no leads.
