ROCKINGHAM — A Rockingham man was arrested Tuesday on a second-degree trespassing charge.
According to an arrest warrant, Gary Brent Jenks, 42, entered the premises of Smokey Hollow Hunt Club, located at 169 Butler Circle in Rockingham, on Aug. 10.
Jenks was charged with misdemeanor second-degree trespassing and booked into the Richmond County Jail under a $1,000 secured bond.
According to the Richmond County Jail log, Jenks also faces a first-degree trespassing charge with an additional $1,500 secured bond, bringing his total secured bond to $2,500. An arrest warrant for the first-degree trespassing charge was not available at the time of publication.
Jenks made his first court appearance Aug. 11. Court records show both charges are scheduled for Aug. 28.
According to court records, Jenks was convicted in 2025 of possession of drug paraphernalia and willful and wanton injury to real property.
