ROCKINGHAM — Several individuals are facing charges in separate cases involving an alleged home break-in, theft and assault, according to arrest warrants from the Rockingham Police Department.
A Rockingham man is accused of breaking into a woman’s home and threatening her life.
According to an arrest warrant, Bryant Sanquan Hamilton, 35, allegedly entered the victim’s home March 10 with intent to terrorize her and stole her iPhone 14. The warrant states he also told the victim he planned to kill her and “he has been watching her and he could have done it at any time.”
Hamilton was arrested April 13 and booked into the Richmond County Jail, where he is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court April 27.
In a separate case, a man is charged with habitual larceny following an alleged theft last month.
According to an arrest warrant, David Michael Heaton, 47, is accused of stealing Kobalt 10-inch soft jaw pliers from Lowe’s Home Improvement in Rockingham. The warrant indicates Heaton has four prior larceny convictions in 2009, 2010 and twice in 2025.
In a separate incident last year, Heaton took a bottle of Pepsi, a dog leash and flea and tick medicine from the same store.
Heaton was arrested April 14 and booked into the Richmond County Jail under a $20,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for April 30.
In another case, a Rockingham man faces multiple charges following two alleged incidents involving the same victim.
According to an arrest warrant, Jason Kyle Hegge, 32, allegedly threw a post cap March 24, striking the victim’s hand. The warrant also states he told the victim he was going “to kill him,” and damaged two posts, a planter and an outdoor clock, with damage exceeding $200.
A second warrant alleges that on April 15, Hegge punched the victim several times in the head and stabbed him in the head while running toward him with a butcher knife.
Hegge was arrested April 16 and charged with two counts of simple assault, two counts of communicating threats, one count of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of injury to personal property.
He was booked into the Richmond County Jail under a combined $5,000 secured bond. He had a court appearance April 17, with another scheduled for May 8.
