A Richmond County man was arrested Wednesday on charges of public urination and possessing an open container of alcohol, according to an arrest warrant.

Jimmy Dean Cox, 64, who is listed as homeless, was accused of urinating on County Home Road and possessing an open bottle of Smirnoff vodka near the intersection of County Home Road and Richmond Memorial Drive on March 18.

Cox was charged with one misdemeanor count of urinating in public and one count of possessing an open container of alcohol. He was arrested the same day and booked into the Richmond County Jail under a $2,500 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court April 23.

Court records show Cox was convicted last year of indecent exposure after exposing his buttocks and genitalia while defecating on a sidewalk in front of Retro Spa & Nails’ previous facility. He was also convicted on two counts of second-degree trespassing last May.
