RICHMOND COUNTY — Two Richmond County men are facing multiple charges after authorities reported finding methamphetamine, cocaine and other narcotics while executing a search warrant earlier this week.
According to court records, a search warrant was issued for a residence on Alcan Road and was executed March 4.
At the site, investigators reported finding 57.9 grams of methamphetamine, 30.5 grams of marijuana, 2.1 grams of crack cocaine, four oxycodone pills and 19 Suboxone strips. Authorities also reported locating various forms of drug paraphernalia, including clear plastic baggies and digital scales to “process, prepare, repackage a controlled substance other than marijuana which it would be unlawful to possess.”
Investigators also reported finding a firearm, identified in court records as a Del-Ton Inc. DTI 15 .556 caliber AR-style pistol.
Nathaniel Mauk, 20, and Brandon Terrell Deese, 38, are each facing multiple charges, including trafficking methamphetamine; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana; simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mauk is facing an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.
According to court records, Mauk had previously been convicted of the felony of break enter of motor vehicle, which was punishable by a class felony maximum punishment of 24 months. This felony was committed on Aug. 11, 2024 and Mauk pleaded guilty to the felony on June 5, 2025, in Anson County Superior Court North Carolina and was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation.
Records show that Mauk is being held at the Richmond County Jail under a $500,000 secured bond, and Deese is being held under a $150,000 secured bond. Both men are scheduled to appear in court March 19.
