RICHMOND COUNTY — A Rockingham man was arrested Friday following a narcotics investigation conducted by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a media release, deputies with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Community Impact Team, with assistance from the Richmond County Special Response Team, issued a search warrant at a residence in Rockingham after an investigation into the illegal sale of narcotics.
As a result of the investigation, Brentay Qontell McQueen, a resident of the home, was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine; trafficking in fentanyl; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana; maintaining a dwelling for keeping a controlled substance; felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance; possession of a stolen firearm; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
During the search, investigators seized 58.69 grams of cocaine, 10.65 grams of fentanyl, 47.42 grams of marijuana and four firearms, including a stolen Draco AK-style 9mm pistol.
McQueen was transported to the Richmond County Jail, where he is being held without bond due to being out on bond for prior 2025 charges, according to the release. Those charges include trafficking opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver MDMA, and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine.
