The Hamlet city manager announced on social media that administrative offices will be closed, while critical personnel remain on duty, responding to emergencies.
“Out of an abundance of caution, City administrative offices will be closed tomorrow.
Our employees are our most important asset, and I am not willing to accept unnecessary risk to the safety of our team or their families. Safety always comes first.
That said, critical personnel will remain on duty, responding to emergencies and protecting our community.
I ask that you keep our Emergency Services and Public Works teams in your thoughts and prayers. They are the reason we sleep safely at night and why our critical infrastructure continues to operate during challenging conditions.
We will continue to closely assess conditions and coordinate with our Fire and Police Chiefs, and Public Works leadership as we plan for Tuesday.
God bless, stay warm, and thank you for supporting the men and women who serve this community every day.”
