RICHMOND COUNTY — A Richmond County woman has been arrested on drug-related charges after failing to appear in court while out on bond.
According to court records, Krista Morgan Todd was found in possession of methamphetamine, a Schedule III controlled substance, marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia on Jan. 5.
Court records show Todd was also arrested that day for failure to appear in court on Dec. 4, 2025, for charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a Sept. 20, 2025, arrest. Her secured bond is set at $100,000 as of Jan. 14. Her next court appearance for both cases is scheduled for Feb. 26.
Court records indicate Todd was previously convicted in 2022 on felony charges including conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, robbery with a dangerous weapon, financial card theft, obtaining property by false pretenses and financial card fraud.
In a separate case, a Rockingham man has been arrested in connection with multiple thefts from Lowe’s Home Improvement.
According to court records, Ricky Daniel Rush, 61, stole various items from the store on June 16, 2025, including a sink, cabinet base, molding, rope spray, snake repellent, bug spray and laundry detergent. Records show Rush returned to the store on June 17 and 18 to steal additional items, including laundry detergent, motor oil, premixed fuel, OxiClean, room spray and batteries.
Court records state Rush returned again on Nov. 20 and stole gear oil, motor oil, antifreeze, Roundup, bug spray and platinum liquid, bringing the total value of stolen merchandise to $1,642.28.
Rush was issued three arrest warrants on Jan. 2 and charged with five counts of misdemeanor larceny, according to court records. He was booked into the Richmond County Jail on a combined $1,000 secured bond. His first court appearance took place Jan. 13, and he is scheduled to return to court Jan. 30.
In another unrelated case, an Ellerbe man has been arrested in connection with stolen jewelry.
According to court records, Mark Allen Guthrie, 39, pawned approximately $20,000 worth of rings, bracelets and necklaces belonging to an individual at two pawn shops in Rockingham on Dec. 23, 2025.
Guthrie was charged with one felony count each of possession of stolen goods and obtaining property by false pretenses of $100,000 or less. He was arrested Jan. 12 and booked into the Richmond County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond. His next court date is scheduled for Jan. 29.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
