ELLERBE — The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office announced human remains were located in Ellerbe.
“Deputies were called to an undisclosed location in the northern region of Richmond County for a welfare check,” the release said. “During the investigation, human remains were found on the property.”
According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation is in its early stages, and the incident will not be disclosed or addressed “until identification and family notification can be made.
