ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond Senior High School gymnasium was packed Thursday morning as cheerleadeing teams from all the district’s competing schools got together to put on a spectacular show of athletic and dance skills.
Parents, teachers and friends filled the bleachers cheering and screaming as the cheer teams took turns representing their schools in ultimate pep rally style.
Students who attended the camp — younger ones who aspire to become middle-school cheerleaders later in life — sat on the floor surrounding the performing cheerleaders.
