Ennis, 16, was killed in a June 22 shooting at a home on Wallace Road in the Ellerbe community. On July 30, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office announced that a 17-year-old Richmond Senior High School student had been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with his death. The suspect turned himself in, was processed and taken to an undisclosed juvenile facility, where he is being held without bond. His name has not been released because he is a minor.
