Two Rockingham residents were arrested last month on drug possession and traffic-related charges.
Karen Davis McQueen, 61, was pulled over by a deputy for traffic violations. During the stop, McQueen attempted to shove items into the driver’s side door. K9 Hunter was deployed and alerted to the presence of controlled substances in the vehicle. The Community Impact Team searched the vehicle and seized 1.3 grams of methamphetamine. McQueen was arrested and charged with one count of felony methamphetamine possession. She was booked into Richmond County Jail under a secured bond of $2,500.
In a separate incident, Matthew Wade Wallace, 41, was stopped after investigators observed him driving with an expired license. Due to his history of narcotics-related offenses, K9 Hunter was deployed and signaled the presence of drugs. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 1.9 grams of methamphetamine. Wallace was arrested and booked into Richmond County Jail under an unsecured bond of $5,000.
