ROCKINGHAM — Proud dads with excited kids in tow recently filled the West Rockingham Elementary School cafeteria to spend some quality time together before the school day began.

Enjoying fresh doughnuts and juice, they heard from Dennis Quick, Richmond County Schools’ executive director of auxiliary services.

Quick spoke on the importance of parents working with their student, as being a dad is their most important job. He talked about spending time together and gave examples like being involved in homework, reading before bed and actively making contact with teachers.

Participants enjoyed the breakfast and quality time and left with a smile on their face.
