The Mount Pisgah A.M.E. Zion Church family and pastor, the Rev. Robert P. Mathis Jr., honored one of their church members, Bruce Stanback, with an appreciation banquet on Saturday, June 27.

Stanback was given a plaque reading, “The Mount Pisgah Church family would like to express our sincere appreciation for your never-ending service. Your sensitivity and consistent dedication to the needs of our church and concern for its welfare exemplifies an outstanding leader and sets an example for true discipleship.

“We recognize and honor not only your commitment and dedication to Mount Pisgah but also to our community as a whole. You are someone who is aware of and an advocate who addresses issues that uniquely affect us as a people.”

The plaque was presented to Stanback by trustee member Frank Legrand Jr.
