Zane Searcy, a junior at Richmond Senior High, will be competing for the state title in the American Legion Oratorical Contest on Saturday in Chapel Hill. He won the regional competition at Catawba College last week. Since 1938, the program exists to develop a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the U.S. Constitution.
