ROCKINGHAM — The Rockingham Police Department has charged Kendrick Malloy, 47, with attempted murder.
On September 12, 2022 at 7:45 p.m., officers responded to First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital following a report of a gunshot victim, according to a press release.
The victim, Justin Malloy, told officers that he and his brother, Kendrick, got into an argument at their mother’s residence on Pineridge Drive in Rockingham.
The victim also stated that during the argument, Kendrick retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and shot him in the head. The victim received a superficial wound to his forehead.
Kendrick was apprehended within 30 minutes of the incident. He is being held at the Richmond County Jail under a $500,000 bond.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Department also assisted with the incident.
