HAMLET — The Richmond County Sheriff’s office has charged a Hamlet man with rape.
Anthony Chandler Fann, 25, of Tarlton Drive, was charged with one felony count each of second degree forcible rape and disseminating obscenity. The individual had warrants for rest from Onslow, Wayne and Montgomery Counties.
On Thursday, March 29, deputies arrested Fann on the outstanding warrants. The Richmond County charges came from a report filed with the sheriff’s office related to Fann having sexual intercourse with an unwilling participant.
The out-of-county warrants are related to controlled substance violations. Fann has failed to appear in court on the misdemeanor charges.
Fann is in Richmond County Jail under a $179,500 secure bond. He is set to appear in Richmond County District Court on May 6.
