ROCKINGHAM – The sounds of Southern gospel music will fill the L.J. Bell auditorium Saturday in an effort to support the Marching Raiders.

Randy Stubbs, president of the band boosters, said this will be their first ticketed event to help raise money. The concert is hosted by the Raider Band Fans and G104 FM.

“I’m looking for a good turnout and I hope all goes well,” he said. “But most importantly I hope people will come together and lift up God.”

Tickets will still be available at the door. All proceeds will go towards purchasing new equipment and uniforms for the Marching Raiders.

Featured groups include: The Perry’s from Henderson, Tennessee; 2nd Chance Ministries from Florence, South Carolina; and Rockingham’s own Bob Smith. Stubbs said 2nd Chance Ministries will be performing songs from their new album including “Over the Edge” and “Let it Rain.”

To purchase tickets in advance, visit the Good News Christian Book Store on 442 E. Broad Avenue before 4 p.m. Saturday or call them at 910-817-7285. For more information, call Randy Stubbs at 910-995-8544.
