FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, 329 West Ave., Hamlet, and its education ministry will sponsor a fourth Sunday service at 4 p.m. with guest speaker the Rev. Dr. Harold Livingston of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Bennettsville, South Carolina. The theme is Galatians 6:9. Unity colors for this service are black and white. The public is invited.

FREEDOM BAPTIST CHURCH, 987 U.S. 1 N., Rockingham, will have its annual Hanging of the Greens service at 6 p.m.

MOUNT CALVARY MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 685 Ledbetter Road, Rockingham, will have an appreciation and installation service for the Rev. E. Galley-Quick during the morning worship at 11:15 a.m. Prophet Obadiah Galley will bring the message. Lunch will be served immediately following the morning worship. The installation service will be at 3 p.m. with guest speaker Pastor J.F. Kearns of Greater St. John Baptist Church in Asheboro.

PRAYER DELIVERANCE MINISTRIES, 108 School St., Rockingham, hosts a feeding program for the homeless each Wednesday.

FAITH ASSEMBLY OUTREACH MINISTRIES will have a soup kitchen from 9 to 10:15 a.m. every Sunday and from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. every Tuesday. No one is turned away. Food furnished by the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and donations.

ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 311 Marlboro St., Hamlet, invites those without a church home or new to the community to worship with its congregation on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m. and to share in the mission to feed the hungry of the community. There will be a special memorial balloons release in remembrance of loved ones in the church parking lot immediately following the morning worship. HOUSE OF PRAYER F.M. P.M., 335 Earle Franklin Drive, Dobbins Heights, will have a gospel extravaganza at 3 p.m. on Dec. 11 featuring Lee Thee Men’s Choir, The Singing Disciples, The Voices of Unity, St. Peter Ladies of Praise and musicians Bo Douglas and Clifton Steele among others.

BASS TEMPLE CHURCH will celebrate its annual women’s day at 3 p.m. on Dec. 11 with guest speaker Margo Brown of Christ Memorial Church of God in Christ in Rockingham.
