Family, friends celebrate L.J. Gathings’ 1st birthday

Lewis James (L.J.) Gathings, son of Trey Gathings and Jessica Carpenter of Rockingham, celebrated his first birthday on Sunday Feb. 21.

He turned 1 on Feb. 16, 2016 and had a Paw Patrol-themed party.

The party was held at The Hive given by his parents.

In attendance were his parents, Trey Gathings and Jessica Carpenter of Rockingham; older sister Alexis Gathings of Hamlet; his grandparents, Gene and Tanya Mercer and David and Sandy Smith, all of Hamlet; great-grandparents Tommy and Joann of Ellerbe and Jerry Patrick of Rockingham; uncles Brett Gathings of Aberdeen, Robbie Carpenter and Mikey Stokes of Rockingham; aunt Michelle Vandermark of Rockingham; Angie Smith, Tony Graham, Dakota Smith, Anthony Walker, Sarah Santini, Belynda Littleton, Heavin Warren, Tina Powers, Pam Thompson, Olivia Thompson, Jihad Terry, Holly Dees, Derek Gathings, Maddie Gathings, Scarlette Vandermark, Tony Gaddy, Eric Elford, Rebecca Gathings, Carlos Pemberton Jr., Jaime Perhealth, Jimmie Farris, JJ Warren, Angelina Farris, Martin and Zaiden Bowman, Larry Ashworth and LeAnne Oliveaux.

Unable to attend but sending gifts was L.J.’s great-grandmother, Janice Patrick of Rockingham.
