ROCKINGHAM — The varsity Raiders football team’s 30 seniors were honored during Richmond Senior High School’s homecoming celebration on Oct. 16.

A list published in the Daily Journal on Oct. 17 inadvertently excluded many of the school’s homecoming court members. Below is the full and complete list of senior Raiders, the students they sponsored and their escorts.

No. 1 Octavius Harris is sponsoring Breeanna Rainwater. Octavius is enrolled in all honors classes and is also a member of the track and field team. Octavius is the son of Casandra Wall and Octavius Harris. His future plans are to attend college and major in sports medicine. Octavius is a wide receiver for the Raiders.

Breeanna is the daughter of Kim and Shirl Rainwater. Her proudest achievement is being in the class of 2016. Her future plans are to attend medical school to become a medical doctor. Her escort is Tyler Rainwater.

No. 3 Curtis Ledbetter is sponsoring Hailey Mason. Curtis is enrolled in all honors classes, a member of the Beta Club, his church youth group and enjoys helping in the community. Curtis is the son of Curtis and Hazel Ledbetter. His proudest achievements are being a part of the 2015-16 student Senate and Beta Club. His future plans are to attend East Carolina University and become a physical therapist. Curtis is a wide receiver for the Raiders.

Hailey Mason is the daughter of Daryl and Teresa Mason. She is a varsity volleyball player and is member of Beta Club, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Students and Cure. Her proudest achievement is attending the North Carolina Governors School during the summer of 2015. Her future plans are to attend and graduate form UNC Chapel Hill and go on to become a pediatric oncologist. Her escort is Daryl and Teresa Mason.

No. 4 Willie Bennett is sponsoring Ashley Haywood. Willie is the son of Willie Bennett III. His proudest achievement is playing football for eight years and keeping good grades. His future plans are to graduate high school and attend East Carolina University for four years. Willie Bennett plays cornerback for the Raiders.

Ashley Haywood is the daughter of Chris Haywood and Gwen Aycoth. She is a member of HOSA. Her proudest achievement is accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior, maintaining straight A’s and graduating with the class of 2016. Her future plans are to graduate high school and go to college to become a radiologist. Her escort is Chris Haywood.

No. 5 Daryus Skinner is sponsoring Simone Robinson. Daryus is enrolled in all honors classes. Daryus is the son of Arlicin Little and Daryl Skinner. His proudest achievement is making a 25 on his ACT, getting defensive player of the week, running a three-year winning streak and graduating high school. His future plans are to go to a university to become an engineer. Daryus plays safety for the Raiders.

Simone Robinson is the daughter of Sarah and Cepado Robinson. She is enrolled in all honors classes. Her proudest achievement is receiving multiple college letters and invites and maintaining a high GPA. Her future plans are to attend college and become a radiologist, and then further her education to become an ultrasound tech. Her escort is Cepado and Sarah Robinson.

No. 8 Jaelin Beugre is sponsoring Sunayya Ali. Jaelin is enrolled in all honors classes. Jaelin is the son of Rosaline Stroman. His proudest achievement is maintaining a high GPA. His future plans are to attend college and major in criminal justice. Jaelin plays safety for the Raiders.

Sunayya Ali is the daughter of Raheem and Dwana Ali. She is a member of HOSA. Her proudest achievement is giving her life to God and maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Her future plans are to attend ECU, graduate from medical school and become a psychiatrist. Her escort is Raheem Ali.

No. 9 Nakeem McKenzie is sponsoring Alexis Thomas. Nakeem is enrolled in all honors classes. Nakeem is the son of Lou-Kesha McKenzie. His proudest achievement is giving his life to Christ and getting offensive player of the week and making his grandmother proud. His future plans are to attend Winston-Salem State University and become an anesthesiologist assistant. Nakeem is a wide receiver for the Raiders.

Alexis Thomas is the daughter of Rhonda Thomas and Richard Morrison. Her proudest achievement is maintaining good grades and always striving for the best and making her parents proud. Her future plans are to attend a university and become a physician assistant. Her escort is Rhonda Thomas and Richard Morrison.

No. 10 Tyler Calhoun is sponsoring Jada McKenzie. Tyler is a member of the basketball and track team at Richmond. Tyler is the son of Alisha Calhoun and Daniel Jones. His proudest achievement is making his grandma proud. His future plans are to attend North Carolina Central University and study law and criminal justice. Tyler is a wide receiver for the Raiders.

Jada McKenzie is the daughter of Valorie and Jay McKenzie. Her future plans are to attend college and major in nursing or law.

No. 17 John David is sponsoring Bailey Thompson. John is a member of DECA. He is the son of Christy David. His proudest achievement is earning player of the week and giving his life to God. His future plans are to go to a university, continue playing football and major in criminal justice. John is a wide receiver for the Raiders.

Bailey Thompson is the daughter of Tammy and Archie Thompson. She is a member of HOSA and Fellowship of Christian Students. Her proudest achievement is being a CAN while still in High school and maintaining a job. Her future plans are to attend ECU to become an ultrasound tech. and keep her faith in God.

No. 22 Khalil Stancil is sponsoring Majasti Robinson. He is the son of Kin and Pamela Hill. His proudest achievements are accepting Jesus into his life and scoring a 24 on the ACT. His future plans are to attend East Carolina University to major in physical therapy. Khalil is a linebacker for the Raiders.

Majasti Robinson is the daughter of Phillip and SheVonne Pemberton. She is enrolled in all honors classes, a member of the RSHS Senate, African-American History Club, Spanish Club and Fellowship of Christian Students, a 2016 debutante participant and a member of the RSHS girls tennis and soccer teams. Her proudest achievement is accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior. Her future plans are to attend Winston-Salem State University to major in physical therapy and minor in Spanish. Her escort is Phillip Pemberton.

No. 23 Quientel Goodwin is sponsoring Kenyasia Johnson. Quientel is a part of track and field along with DECA. He is the son of Nicole Goodwin. His proudest achievement is graduating with the class of 2016 and getting his life right with God. His future plans are to go to Clemson University to play football and major in engineering. Quientel is a running back for the Raiders.

Kenyasia Johnson is the daughter of Quanica Cox and Kenneth Johnson. Her proudest achievement is maintaining good grades and making it to the 12th grade. Her future plans are to get accepted into either East Carolina or North Carolina Central and major in education. Her escorts are Quanica Cox and Christopher Cox.

No. 26 Juwan Marshall is sponsoring Asha Brewington. Juwan is a member of the track team. He is the son of Sophia and Peter Marshall. His proudest achievement is making his family proud through football and maintaining good grades. His future plans are to go to college, play football and go into the medical field. Juwan is a cornerback for the Raiders.

Asha Brewington is the daughter of Annette and Charles Brewington. She is a member of National Honor Society and Beta Club, she is a varsity cheerleader and volunteers for many activities outside of school. Her proudest achievements are maintaining a GPA of 4.6 or higher, being inducted into the National Honor Society and managing to rank 26th at the start of her senior year. Her future plans are to attend East Carolina University to become a nurse anesthetist and start a career at Duke University Hospital. Her escorts are Annette and Charles Brewington.

No. 30 Zach Leberth is sponsoring Taylor Bryant. Zach is a member of DECA and volunteers at the homeless shelter with his church youth group. He is the son of Kim and Greg Leberth. His proudest achievements are beating Dudley to end its three-year winning streak, graduating with the class of 2016 and accepting Jesus as his Lord and savior. His future plans are to attend Wingate University and pursue a degree in business. Zach is a kicker for the Raiders.

Taylor Bryant is the daughter of Bob Bryant and Kelly Ashby. She is a member of HOSA and Fellowship of Christian Students, she is a varsity cheerleader and a three-time All-American winner at UNC-Chapel Hill. Her proudest achievement is accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior. Her future plans are to attend East Carolina University to become a respiratory therapist. Her escort is Kelly Ashby.

No. 33 Reggie Ellerbe is sponsoring Kinedra Edwards. Reggie is a member of the RSHS track and field team. He is the son of Michelle Sparks and Reginald Ellerbe. His proudest achievements are coming back to play football after two knee surgeries and graduating with the class of 2016. His future plans are to attend ECU and major in Web design. Reggie is a wide receiver for the Raiders.

Kinedra Edwards is the daughter of Kizzy Short and Derrick Edwards Sr. She is a member of the Junior ROTC Color Guard, runs track and is a member of the African-American History Club, gospel choir, show choir and her church choir. Her proudest achievements are graduating with the class of 2016 and having a great experience in JROTC. Her future plans are to attend a four-year college ROTC program and then go into the Army as a nurse or drill sergeant. Her escort is Kathryn Short.

No. 34 Devon Hunt is sponsoring Essence Gilbert. Devon is the son of Don and Jennifer Paul and Rocky Norton. He is an inside linebacker for the Raiders. Devon is a member of New Beginning Christian Ministries church and youth ministries and the RSHS baseball team. His proudest achievements are receiving Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, being in the National Honor Society and being chosen as a freshman to play on the central Carolina scholastic summer league showcase baseball team. His future plans are to play football at Western Carolina University and major in criminal justice.

Essence Gilbert is the daughter of Christina Gilbert. She is a member of the Beta Club, fellowship of Christian students, DECA club, a student Senate member, varsity cheerleader for the Raiders and an assistant coach at Physical Awareness gymnastics. Her proudest achievements are being selected as one of Richmond Senior High’s first All-American cheerleaders for 2015, being nominated to be a 2015-16 debutante, being a three-time All-American cheerleader recipient and maintaining a GPA above 4.5. Her future plans are to attend and cheer at either Western Carolina or UNC Chapel Hill, major in chemistry, go to dental school and become an orthodontist. Her escort is Christina Gilbert.

No. 36 Jaleel Patrick is sponsoring Shabreca Horne. He is the son of Michael and Patricia Patrick. Jaleel is an outside linebacker for the Raiders. He is enrolled in honors classes and is a member of HOSA club. His proudest achievement is giving his life to Jesus Christ. His future plans are to attend Winston-Salem State University to become a physical therapist.

Shabreca Horne is the daughter of Natasha Horne and Eric Bowden. She is a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church. Her proudest achievements are giving her life to God and making it this far. Her future plans are to attend James Madison and major in Department of Justice studies. Her escort is Tashia Little.

No. 39 Drew Meachum is sponsoring Ana Rivers. Drew is the son of Christy Asbell and Greg and Pamela Meachum. Drew is an outside linebacker for the Raiders. He is enrolled in honors classes along with being a member of the RSHS track and wrestling teams. His proudest achievements are maintaining all As throughout high school while playing sports. His future plans are to attend college to become a diesel mechanic.

Ana Rivers is the daughter of Joe and Susan Rivers. Ana is a member of CURE club, a varsity cheerleader and runs track for the Raiders. Her proudest achievement is being a scholar athlete all four years of high school. Her future plans are to attend UNC Charlotte and double-major in sociology and psychology, and then become an FBI criminal profiler. Her escort is Joe Rivers.

No. 41 Paul Fowler is sponsoring Jasmine McIver. He is the son of Paul and Pauline Fowler. Paul is an inside linebacker for the Raiders and he is also a member of the RSHS track team. His proudest achievement is becoming a starter for the Raiders. His future plans are to attend college and major in business while continuing to play football.

Jasmine McIver is the daughter of Curtis McIver Jr. and Jill McIver. Her proudest achievements are getting accepted into East Carolina and maintaining a 4.5 GPA and being nominated for the Park and Morehead-Cain scholarships. Her future plans are to attend East Carolina University and become a neonatal nurse. She ultimately wants to enlist in the U.S. Air Force with her degree. Her escort is Curtis McIver Jr.

No. 42 John Quick is sponsoring Savannah Stubbs. He is the son of John and Vanessa Quick. John is an outside linebacker for the Raiders. He is an Eagle Scout and a member of the East Rockingham Fire Department. His proudest achievement is being a part of the Richmond Raiders football team. His future plans are to become a U.S Marine.

Savannah Stubbs is the daughter of Randy and Angel Stubbs. She is the drum line section leader for the Raider marching band. Her proudest achievement is accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her future plans are to attend UNC Pembroke to march, play drums and major in music. Her escort is Randy Stubbs.

No. 49 Martin Zigousky is sponsoring Julie Anna Jones. Martin is the son of Lorriane Zigousky. He is a punter/kicker for the Raiders. He is a member of the Raider baseball team and Christ Community Church. His proudest achievement is being a part of the Raider football team. His future plans are to attend East Carolina to major in business and engineering.

Julie Anna Jones is the daughter of Ben and Julie Jones. She is a member of National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Students. Her proudest achievements are accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and maintaining a 4.3 GPA in high school. Her future plans are to attend UNC Charlotte to major in physical therapy. Her escort is Ben Jones.

No. 50 Jeremiah Stewart is sponsoring Alyse Player. Jeremiah is the son of Robby and Vickie Stewart. He is a guard for the Raiders. He is a member of Beta Club and National Honor Society. His proudest achievement is his decision to follow Jesus. His future plans are to attend a four-year college and major in engineering.

Alyse Player is the daughter of Robb and Sandy Player. She is a varsity cheerleader and a member of Fellowship of Christian Students, RSHS Show Choir, CURE and the North Carolina All-State Choir. Her proudest achievement is accepting Christ as her savior. Her future plans are to attend a four-year college to major in dental science. Her escort is Robb Player.

No. 51 Austin Patrick is sponsoring Peyton Butler. He is the son of Steven and Loretta Patrick. Austin is an offensive guard for the Raiders. He is a member of the National Honor Society and HOSA club. His proudest achievement is being nominated for the Park Scholarship. His future plans are to attend a four-year school to major in engineering.

Peyton Butler is the daughter of Bill and Sue Locascio. She is a member of HOSA club. Her proudest achievements are obtaining her nurse aide certification while in high school and maintaining a 4.2 GPA. Her future plans are to earn an associate’s degree in nursing at RCC to become a registered nurse, then transfer to UNC Charlotte to get her bachelor’s in nursing. Her escort is Bill Locasico.

No. 54 Alex McLean is sponsoring Mary Catherine Coltrane. He is the son of Jimmy and Freida McLean. Alex is an offensive tackle for the Raiders and he runs track as well. He is a member of Beta Club. His proudest achievement is giving his life to God. His future plans are to attend a four-year school to play football and major in physical therapy.

Mary Catherine Coltrane is the daughter of the late Mr. Allen Coltrane and Butch and Allison Farrah. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club and CURE, president of Fellowship of Christian Students, first vice president of the RSHS Senate, 2015 All-Region and All-State cheerleader, senior leader of the RSHS varsity cheerleading team and a dancer at Dance Sensations. She is also an active member at First United Methodist Church and participates in various community service projects. Her proudest achievements are serving on a 2015 mission team to Haiti. Her future plans are to go to Wake Forest University to cheer and major in psychology. Her escort is John Wilson Dawkins.

No. 59 Ben Bostick is sponsoring Destiny Riggins. He is the son of Nikita Wade and Charles Hunt. Ben plays offensive line for the Raiders and he is a member of the RSHS track team as well. Ben is a member of the RSHS Senate. His future plans are to join the U.S Air Force and later become a U.S marshal. His proudest achievement is being elected to the student senate.

Destiny Riggins is the daughter of Lewis and Tammy Riggins. She is a member of the RSHS marching band. Her proudest achievements are keeping a 4.0 GPA, graduating with the class of 2016 and accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, as well as making her mom and dad proud. Her future plans are to attend UNC Charlotte to become an RN. Her escort is Lewis Riggins.

No. 60 John Brito is sponsoring Natalie Ritter. He is the son of Eliseo Brito and Araceli Hernandez. He is the Richmond Raiders’ center. John is enrolled in all honors classes. His proudest achievement is the ability to play football. His future plans are to become an anesthesiologist.

Natalie Ritter is the daughter of Missy Burdick. She is a member of HOSA club. Her proudest achievement is accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her future plans are to attend RCC to become an RN, then transfer to a university to get her bachelor’s in nursing. Her escort is Missy Burdick.

No. 63 Blake Dawkins is sponsoring Braxton Faircloth. He is the son of Jerri Aiken. Blake plays center and long snapper for the Raiders. He is a member of the RSHS choir and Beverly Hills Baptist Church. His proudest achievement is playing football for the Raiders all four years of high school. His future plans are to go to college, play football and major in engineering.

Braxton Faircloth is the daughter of Bobby and Bryce Faircloth. She enjoys horseback riding and spending time with family and friends. Her proudest achievements are setting a good example for her little sister, maintaining a 4.0 GPA while being dually enrolled at RCC and completing the certified nurse aide pogram. Her future plans are to attend RCC to become a registered nurse, then transfer to UNC Wilmington to get her bachelor of science in nursing. Her escort is Bobby Faircloth.

No. 75 Marcus Greene is sponsoring Brianna White. Marcus is the son of Karen Greene and the late Mr. Danny Greene. He is an offensive tackle for the Raiders. Marcus is a member of Beta Club and National Honor Society and is enrolled in all honors classes. His proudest achievement is becoming the young man his father would want him to be. His future plans are to further his education at a four-year school.

Brianna White is the daughter of Brian and Vivian White. She is a member of the Junior ROTC Raider Team. Her proudest achievements are being a part of the graduating class of 2016, and being a Raider Team battalion commander. Her future plans are to enlist in the Air Force and become an Air Force firefighter. Her escort is Ben White.

No. 88 Lavell Ellerbe is sponsoring Harley Moates. Lavell is the son of Wendy Ellerbe and Jimmy Tillman. He is a wide receiver for the Raiders. He is in all honors classes. His proudest achievement is giving his life to Christ and being a soon-to-be graduate of Richmond Senior High School. His future plans are to play college football and major in engineering at UNC Chapel Hill.

Harley Moates is the daughter of Amy Johnson. She is enrolled in all honors classes and she is a varsity cheerleader. Her proudest achievement is managing her time between school, work and cheerleading. Her future plans are to further her education at Wingate University and continue cheering. Her escort is Amy Johnson.

No. 90 Otira Robinson is sponsoring Kalaysia Fisher. He is the son of Victor and Patricia Robinson. Otira plays defensive end for the Raiders. He is a member of St. Mary’s Holiness Church. His proudest achievements are being able to purchase his first car, a Chrysler 300, without his parents’ help. His future plans are to go to UNC Greensboro to major in business in hopes to have his own business in the future.

Kalaysia Fisher is the daughter of Joycelyn Fisher and Jory Smith. She is a member of the Lady Raiders’ varsity soccer and basketball teams. She is a member of Fellowship of Christian Students and CURE club. Her proudest achievements are having all honors and AP classes, maintaining a high GPA while playing sports and attending other school activities. Her future plans are to attend either East Carolina or Winston-Salem State to major in nursing, and then later on go into the Air Force. Her escort is Leroy Whitley.

No. 93 Ricardo Rush is sponsoring Nijulia Flowers. Ricardo is the son of Elizabeth Sweat and Ricky Rush. He plays defensive end for the Raiders. His proudest achievement is being a part of the Raider football team. His future plans are to attend college and get a degree in engineering.

Nijulia Flowers is the daughter of Eugene and Adrian Flowers. She is a member of Beta Club show choir, and is the manager of the track and cross country teams. Her proudest achievements are graduating with the class of 2016 and accomplishing things she never thought she would do. Her future plans are to graduate medical school and become a pediatrician. Her escort is Eugene Flowers.

No. 94 Davon Stroman is sponsoring Dy’Avion Brower. He is the son of Nicole Stroman. Davon plays defensive line for the Raiders. He does volunteer work for the Dannell Ellerbe and Melvin Ingram football camps and other community events. His proudest achievements are being able to teach the youth to better themselves through mentoring, encouraging and motivating them. His future plans are to attend either Wingate University or Winston-Salem State to major in sports medicine or physical therapy.

Dy’Avion Brower is the daughter of Adam and Channon Fowler. She is a member of Beta Club and FBLA, president of CURE, a varsity cheerleader and she participates in many community events. Her proudest achievements are becoming a member of the varsity cheerleading team and president of the CURE club. Her future plans are to go to the University of Georgia and major in law with a minor in communications. Her escort is Cornelius Brower.
