The Rockingham Police Department is once again sponsoring the Junior Police Academy from July 22 to July 26. Classes will be held daily from approximately 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lunch provided.
According to Rockingham Police, this program motivates young people to be outstanding citizens through law enforcement education. Some of the activities scheduled include learning patrol techniques and traffic investigations, running trail/article searches with K-9 officers, understanding case preparation, identifying drugs/ paraphernalia, meeting the airport raid team — lunch with helicopter crew, visiting the 911 Center, and seeing a House Entry/Swat.
