WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a 19-year-old woman on charges related to a bomb threat to a Wilmington high school.

The StarNews (http://bit.ly/2qDkGDO ) reports that Amy Janae Reed of Wilmington was charged with one count of making a false bomb report in connection with a May 5 threat to Hoggard High School.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office says Reed was arrested Friday.

There have been other bomb threats at area high schools, but investigators haven’t identified suspects in the other ones.

Rick Holliday, assistant superintendent of New Hanover County School, says it’s not uncommon to have a number of threats at this time of year. He says it’s aggravating and ties up resources.

No phone listing could be found for Reed. A sheriff’s office spokesman didn’t immediately respond to an email asking if she has a lawyer.
