1 dead in house fire in Fayetteville; 3 dogs also killed

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Firefighters in Fayetteville are investigating a fatal house fire.

Fire department battalion chief Michael Martin tells local media outlets that the fire broke out about 1 a.m. Monday.

One person was killed in the fire. The victim’s identity isn’t being released until relatives are notified.

Martin says three dogs also died in the blaze.
