JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Authorities say autopsies will be conducted to determine the cause of death of two people found in an Onslow County home after a weekend fire.

Sheriff Hans Miller tells local news outlets that both police and firefighters responded about 10 p.m. Saturday to a fire northwest of Jacksonville.

Police are treating the deaths as homicides.

Their names won’t be released until relatives are notified.

The sheriff says no arrests have been made but says he does not think there is any threat to the public.
