FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Police in Fayetteville say there are no obvious signs of suspicious circumstances in the deaths of two people found in a home.

Police Lt. Todd Joyce say officers were called to a home shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday to check on the residents. Joyce says officers found the bodies of two people that appeared to have been dead for some time.

The bodies have been sent to the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsies.

The names of the victims have not been released while relatives are notified.
