WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Police in Winston-Salem say they have made an arrest in the shooting death of a man earlier this year.
Police said in a statement that 29-year-old Assante Michael Sims of Winston-Salem was arrested Wednesday and has been charged with murder.
Sims is accused of shooting and killing 44-year-old Kedrick Leonard White on June 7 at Sims’ home.
Police have not discussed a motive for the shooting. Sims is being held in the Forsyth County jail. It was not clear if he has an attorney yet.
