Search for missing 3-year-old NC girl to resume Tuesday

GASTONIA, N.C. (AP) — Authorities in North Carolina are searching for a missing 3-year-old girl.

Gaston County police tell news outlets that Jordan Ann Dumont was reported missing from her Bessemer City home around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Officials say her mother’s boyfriend, who was caring for the child, told police he last saw the girl around 1 p.m. and notified authorities when he realized she was missing.

Jordan Ann is about 3 feet 2 inches with curly, blond, hair and blue-green eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt with Mickey or Minnie Mouse on the front and blue jean shorts.

Authorities searched for the child until late Monday night, when the search was called off for the night. It was set to resume Tuesday morning.
