ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine is making a couple of campaign stops in North Carolina this week.

Kaine and his wife Anne Holton appear Monday evening in Asheville and then travel on to Fayetteville on Tuesday for a noon appearance in what has become a battleground state.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign announced that Kaine will be discussing the economy, comparing Clinton’s tax plan with that being proposed by Donald Trump.

The Republican presidential nominee made two stops in the state last week.
