RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory and challenger Attorney General Roy Cooper have agreed to their second public debate.

The North Carolina Association of Broadcasters announced Friday that “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd will moderate an hour-long gubernatorial debate between the Republican and Democrat on Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.

The debate will occur at the University of North Carolina Television studios in Research Triangle Park and is expected to air on 30 stations and a statewide radio network.

McCrory and Cooper already shared the stage in late June for a debate at the North Carolina Bar Association convention in Charlotte.

The two candidates have pushed competing debate offers, with McCrory pressing for the more aggressive appearance schedule.
